Just Hit Send by Grasshopper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I'm editing this review since I last wrote my short snippet on it because I just couldn't let it go with some words unsaid. So here it goes:
An amazing story of two boys connecting and seeing where life, even with all its ups and downs take them. Now on to the next segment... The college years. I liked how all the different characters' lives entwined as they came together. You will have moments when reading the story that will bring you to tears and both sadness and in laughter, but there's more in laughter than any other emotions. JD is the little dude to watch out for. You can find JD's story in Summerfire. Sad yet sweet all bundled in one, yet it's short.
To get the full bodied experience "snickering" Yeah I said that, of Just Hit Send, it consists of all the following:
Just Hit 'Send' - The High School Years
Just Hit 'Send' - The College Years
Just Hit 'Send' - The Interim Years
Just Hit 'Send' - The Happy Years
Then go to read Summerfire about JD.
I wish this story didn't end, but as all stories do so did this one.
The author, Grasshopper brings you so much interest in joy in his writings that I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. My eyes were truly open to so many emotions.
Two thumbs up!

Remembrance Day November 11th
Because I'm Canadian my blog is about Canadians with no intend to offend our neighbors in the United States of America, which I do think highly of! I am very proud of my ancestors which served in this war and stood up for our Country and what they believed in. Love you Grandad and even though you passed before I was born and I never got to know you other than your picture in your army uniform I will still miss you!
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians are asked to pause in memory of the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service.
Also known as Veterans Day in the U.S., Remembrance Day was first held throughout the Commonwealth in 1919. It marks the armistice to end the First World War, which came into effect at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, a year earlier.
Every year on November 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914-1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then. More than 1,500,000 Canadians have served our country in this way, and more than 100,000 have died. They gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.
In Flanders Fields by John McCrae and continuation by Matthew Lapierre
In Flanders Fields the poppies grow between the crosses
Row on row
That mark the place and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scare heard amid the guns below
We are the dead short days ago
We lived felt dawn saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved and now we lie in Flanders Fields
Take up the quarrel with the foe
To you from falling hands we throw,
The torch be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep though poppies grow in Flanders Fields
We have kept faith ye Flanders dead
Sleep well beneath those poppies red
The torch your falling hands did throw,
We've held it high before the foe,
And answered bitter blow for blow,
In Flanders Fields
And where your heroes' blood was spilled
The guns are now forever stilled,
No moaning sound of tortured pain
Only grief for the slain
In Flanders Fields

That dreaded day is soon upon me. We admit there was a time when we couldn't get our birthday arriving soon enough.
Like turning 13 cause you've hit puberty (a young man now) or girls 16 for their sweet 16 parties and 16 to get our driver's license (I didn't attempt mine till I was 20) or turning 19 so we can go to the clubs although... I got in at 16 already (friends in high places) :snickering: At 21 - 30 yrs old I went wild in every way possible. From alcohol to drugs to finding myself and experimenting with sex. Oh hell I lost my virginity at 16, but I'm talking threesomes, foursomes and... so on! I'm now past the age of 40 is all I'm gonna say and I'll albeit admit that I've been there and done that. If I was to die tomorrow and can honestly say that there's nothing missing I haven't done that I wanted to do. NOT saying I'm gonna die tomorrow, mind you.
There's one thing... I didn't get a book published and I know I spoke about shutting down this blog, but I've had a viewpoint. I'm going to take that non-published book and post it in parts here starting January 1, 2013. I'm turning a new leaf on this blog. It's all M/M. I can't take complete credit for the writing of this book because I knew someone at the time who was my inspiration in writing this story and he deserves part credit in the creation of one of the characters. I will not name him, but he is always in my thoughts and I hope he's doing well and wish him well with no hard feelings just clean thoughts. Stayed tuned for that.
Now below... see who shares my day even though :wrinkles nose: some are unsavory people.
