The Art of Breaking... Coming SOON!

I've had this written for at least a good year! I'm ashamed that I've been procrastinating on it. My joy of reading has gotten in the way. As I had promised and vowed to myself and a good friend, I'm currently now doing the edits for my new M/M story I have written. YAY! Go me! It's NOT getting published since I don't enjoy endings and this way the story will never end unless I choose it to.

Here is a picture of MY idea on what the characters look like to me when I write them and a summary on what I'm going to be posting. The top pic is Nikolas and below him is Kyler. It won't be all at once, but rather a few pages every other day is my thought.

I hope everyone enjoys it and feel free to leave comments. Please.

Nikolas
Kyler

Summary:

As an assassin and the leader of an elite team of Special Forces agents it's up to Nikolas to see to the safety, well being and welfare of his team on every mission. His goal? To come out successful, mission accomplished and their lives intact. Nikolas has made one wrong mistake that will haunt him for the rest of his life. As Nikolas recovers from a mission gone horribly wrong he doubts himself and his abilities at being a leader, a Dominant and Master.

Kyler who looks younger than he is age of 21 years, has been around the block one too many times with the wrong Master and vouches never to get himself put into that position again, but one chance encounter, a blind date set up by a close friend will change his life. Or will it? Could he learn to trust again? Only time will tell.

Will these two men be able to set aside their personal issues and give in to the explosive chemistry between them that consumes their every breath or will the enemy that is pursuing them forever tear them apart.

Content: Mild violence, D/s, dubious consent, snarky submissives and a ton of hawt M/M steamy sex.

A whole new world...

That's NOT a song peeps. No, not for me. Nu uh!

FOR ages I've been on Facebook and on Goodreads and I've, sorry to admit this, but limited my knowledge to just those two circles. Besides here of cowse. But a sweetheart I know sent me a request for G+ and I sat there and scratched my mop of messy hair and wondered what the hells is that? So after mucho debate I went in and thought: What the heck. I'm gonna see what it's all about. It's way mint and easy to connect with friends and authors. I'm enjoying it so far.

THEN a few days ago while I'm sitting back and enjoying the holidays someone says to me:

Person: Hey, do you TWEET?
Me: As in Twitter? Why would I do that?
Person: Cause it's fun (with a shrug)
Me: "Well I don't know." me the ever so thought I knew it all, but I'm still clueless and most things that I will NOT admit to and plead the Fifth asks: Does it cost anything to be on that?
Person: who snickers and laughs at my expense says: HAHA no it doesn't. It's free! F.R.E.E. (as IF I need it spelled out for me!)

SO I've been giving it a go for the last 4 days and can I say WOW! I've gotten to know new people, connect with old, keep updated on what's happening with my fav authors, musicians and just... anybody you want! Oh and there's this wee lad, Raiph... So fawking adorable! I've got the hang of understanding his every word, but it took me a few to get the hang of it. If you're ever in the Tweet zone you'll get hooked easily 'nough. I am!

I'M outta here since the tweeting has one slight downfall effect... it's taking me longer to get through a dayum book!

~B~ Over and out :salutes:

P.S. Isn't this nice what I woke up tah this morn? NOT!

ENDGAME by Nancy Garden

EndgameEndgame by Nancy Garden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summary:  A new town, a new school, a new start. That's what fourteen-year-old Gray Wilton believes as he chants, "It's gonna be better, gonna be better here." But it doesn't take long for Gray to realize that nothing's going to change--there are bullies in every school, and he's always their punching bag. Their brutal words, physical abuse, and emotional torture escalate until Gray feels trapped in a world where he has no control, no support systems, and no way out--until the day he enters the halls of Greenford High School with his father's semiautomatic in hand.

Award-winning novelist Nancy Garden, author of the groundbreaking novel Annie on My Mind, once again goes out on a limb, this time to show readers the cruelty of bullying and the devastating effects it can have.

MY Review:

Have you ever had your heart beat so hard in your chest that you could swear it was going to burst out of its cavity or you felt it down to yours toes with every thump, thump? That's what I endured reading this book. My heart goes out to Gray. My opinion. My words. My review.

I just wished books of this nature could make a big difference in the world, but can a leopard change it spots or a zebra change its stripes? Thought not.

MY in-depth thoughts on this book are as follows:

Yes, there were innocent victims in this book I don’t dispute this one bit, but i agree to disagree with those who want to point the finger at the accused without taking into clear consideration all the facts and the events before and during the time of the ‘incident’. My sincere sympathy lay with Gray the one boy of 14yrs old that one day just took matters into his own hands and SNAPPED!

Do I believe that the events that took place could have been prevented from happening? You bet I do!

It comes to the full on facts that everyone in Gray’s life failed him.

His father? FAIL

The student body? FAIL

Teachers and piers? FAIL

What Gray was subjected to in his life and not just at school was handled very poorly. Did he have anyone really to turn to? Well, let’s see...

There was the school counsellor, but she just cared more that every student ‘like’ school and be ‘happy’ while being there.

There were the teachers who thoughts the antics of bullying were ‘amusing’.

His father or his mother? He left a bad acidic taste in my mouth regarding his ‘fatherly’ methods as a parent. Well, the father ruled the roost, the mother only accomplished so much say.

Friends? He did have ONE who turned on him in the end. Mind you, said friend did try to report the bullying incidents and the results were basically ‘suck it up’. Not worth reporting really and this was the school principal.

Gray pours his heart out to this lawyer that his own father had hired and i have to wonder... Did this lawyer, even after Gray gave every single detail of what led up to that fateful moment do him justice in the court room? Hmm I do wonder, but now let’s take it to the courtroom: The judge...

1.      I honestly believe the sentence handed out was to appease the victim’s families.

2.      Was it even considered by this judge that Gray was a ‘victim’ himself due to the insistent and consistent cruel and brutal taunting and bullying he’d endured?

3.      Was this judge really give a rat’s ass about the alleged accused shooter? What about future treatment do deal with Gray’s trauma? Nope. It didn’t happen.

4.      Even at trial the justice system failed Gray.

NOTE to judge: You shouldn’t be one. You don’t deserve to be sitting on that bench. YOU sir ARE in my very clear words: A FAILURE! I bet the Almighty justice ‘system’ only brought down the sentence using Gray as a means to setting an example to all teens who choose to pick up a gun. Really? What about those who continue to harass and bully those lesser than themselves?

Lemme take a stab at what a bully might think, but you tell me is it logical to say: The bullying will continue because you see, if I bully you, you’ll just snap one day and do something drastic. I might lose my life or maybe not, but I the bully will get the last laugh because you’ll be caught, arrested unless you’ve off’d yourself first and serve life in prison without parole. You get me? HOW PATHETIC IS THIS??!! But think about it folks: It’s the truth and the cold hard facts. Bullying

RE:       Gala Christmas Party

I'm happy to inform you that the company Christmas Party will take place on December 23rd, starting at noon in the private function room at the Grill House. There will be a cash bar and plenty of drinks!  We'll have a small band playing traditional carols... feel free to sing along.  And don't be surprised if our CEO shows up dressed as Santa Claus! A Christmas tree will be lit at 1:00 PM.  Exchanges of gifts among employees can be done at that time; however, no gift should be over $10.00 to make the giving of gifts easy for everyone's pockets.  This gathering is only for employees!

Our CEO will make a special announcement at that time!

Merry Christmas to you and your family,

Patty

RE:       Gala Holiday Party

In no way was yesterday's memo intended to exclude our Jewish employees.  We recognize that  Hanukkah is an important holiday, which often coincides with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year.  However, from now on,  we're calling it our "Holiday Party."  The same policy applies to any other employees who are not Christians and to those still celebrating Reconciliation Day.  There will be no Christmas tree and no Christmas carols will be sung.  We will have other types of music for your enjoyment.

Happy now?

Happy Holidays to you and your family,

Patty

RE:        Holiday Party

Regarding the note I received from a member of Alcoholics Anonymous requesting a non-drinking table, you didn't sign your name.  I'm happy to accommodate this request, but if I put a sign on a table that  reads, "AA Only", you wouldn't be anonymous anymore.  How am I supposed to handle this?

Somebody?

And sorry, but forget about the gift exchange, no gifts are allowed since the union members feel that $10.00 is too much money and the executives believe $10.00 is a little chintzy.

REMEMBER: NO GIFTS EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED.

RE:        Generic Holiday Party

What a diverse group we are!  I had no idea that December 20th begins the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during daylight hours.  There goes the party!  Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees' beliefs.  Perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party or else package everything for you to take it home in little foil doggy baggy.  Will that work?

Meanwhile, I've arranged for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet, and pregnant women will get the table closest to the restrooms.

Gays are allowed to sit with each other.  Lesbians do not have to sit with Gay men, each group will have their own table.

Yes, there will be flower arrangement for the Gay men's table.

To the person asking permission to cross dress, the Grill House asks that no cross-dressing be allowed, apparently because of concerns about confusion in the restrooms.  Sorry.

We will have booster seats for short people.

Low-fat food will be available for those on a diet.

I am sorry to report that we cannot control the amount of salt used in the food .  The Grill House suggests that people with high blood pressure taste a bite first.

There will be fresh "low sugar" fruits as dessert for diabetics, but the restaurant cannot supply "no sugar" desserts. Sorry!

Did I miss anything?!?!?

RE:         The Fucking Holiday Party

I've had it with you vegetarian pricks!!!  We're going to keep this party at the Grill House whether you like it or not, so you can sit quietly at the table furthest from the "grill of death," as you so quaintly put it, and you'll get your fucking salad bar, including organic tomatoes.  But you know, tomatoes have feelings, too.  They scream when you slice them.  I've heard them scream.  I'm hearing them scream right NOW!

The rest of you fucking wierdos can kiss my ass.  I hope you all have a rotten holiday!

Drive drunk and die,

The Bitch from Hell!!!

RE:        Patty Lewis and Holiday Party

I'm sure I speak for all of us in wishing Patty Lewis a speedy recovery and I'll continue to forward your cards to her.

In the meantime, management has decided to cancel our Holiday Party and give everyone the afternoon of the 23rd off with full pay.

Happy Holidays!

The author Brom

MY blog today will reflect this amazingly creative author and after reading his book The Child Thief I'm thrilled to discover this talented man and promote his creative works.

WHO is Brom? Born in the deep dark south in the mid-sixties. Brom, an army brat, spent his entire youth on the move and unabashedly blames living in such places as Japan, Hawaii, Germany, and Alabama for all his afflictions. From his earliest memories Brom has been obsessed with the creation of the weird, the monstrous, and the beautiful. You can find out more about him on his personal WS here: http://www.bromart.com/bio.html

THESE books are some of his publishings which you can find on Amazon or at Barnes & Noble.

AS the holidays are soon upon us, his most latest book which will fascinate the most morbid mind is KRAMPUS, the Yule Lord. If your thoughts and your mind are as dark as mine and can handle the very darkness of Brom's world in his stories than you can be sure to enjoy this book. Below the cover I'm going to give you from Brom's page what the book is about and it's to your discretion if you can handle it. Or not.

Overview

Santa Claus, my dear old friend, you are a thief, a traitor, a slanderer, a murderer, a liar, but worst of all you are a mockery of everything for which I stood. You have sung your last ho, ho, ho, for I am coming for your head. . . . I am coming to take back what is mine, to take back Yuletide . . .
—from Krampus

The author and artist of The Child Thief returns with a modern fabulist tale of Krampus, the Lord of Yule and the dark enemy of Santa Claus

One Christmas Eve in a small hollow in Boone County, West Virginia, struggling songwriter Jesse Walker witnesses a strange spectacle: seven devilish figures chasing a man in a red suit toward a sleigh and eight reindeer. When the reindeer leap skyward, taking the sleigh, devil men, and Santa into the clouds, screams follow. Moments later, a large sack plummets back to earth, a magical sack that thrusts the down-on-his-luck singer into the clutches of the terrifying Yule Lord, Krampus. But the lines between good and evil become blurred as Jesse's new master reveals many dark secrets about the cherry-cheeked Santa Claus, including how half a millennium ago the jolly old saint imprisoned Krampus and usurped his magic.

Now Santa's time is running short, for the Yule Lord is determined to have his retribution and reclaim Yuletide. If Jesse can survive this ancient feud, he might have the chance to redeem himself in his family's eyes, to save his own broken dreams, . . . and to help bring the magic of Yule to the impoverished folk of Boone County.

The Child Thief by Brom

The Child ThiefThe Child Thief by Brom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read this book and take a journey with Peter Pan into the land of Never Neverland? I think not if what comes to your mind is the fantasy Fairytale that we all know of as we were growing up as a child. Instead the author Brom encourages us with every detailed word to take sis trip into the land of beautiful horrors. This book is not playful, beautiful, yet it is full of magic, trickery, deceit, revenge and filled with unimaginable nightmares and horrors beyond the imagination. Brom epically creates a story of Peter himself and also centers around Nick, one of the boys the Peter abducts and takes him into a realm through the mist. A realm that Peter takes children that have been abused, abandoned and runaways. The question you'll ask yourself is were these children better off?

The read is not a light one. I read pages upon pages of death, greed, treachery, cruelty. I found no humor, but only sorrow and I came to a point where I realized that although this book is one of the most amazingly creative books I've read apart from a few others, that might heart did not soar. My heart plummeted to a pathetic low and broke a millions times over as I went from page to page.

Brom brings to you a side of THIS fairytale that will hit you full force in a way you would never have in your wildest dreams expected.

Readers, don't be fooled go into this story! It's not a romance, a fun read. Oh it's fun in it's own morbid way! Although I enjoyed this book to maximum capacity, there is in my sole opinion no HEA. It's a story with a spectacular and glorious beginning with a horrific end. I kid you not.

Two thumbs up and a highly recommended read. If you dare :winks:

Brom is very highly talented. His drawings are majestic and therefore I attach some of his illustrations in the video below.
