Happy Easter !

I chose this picture with the golden eggs and feathers to wish you all Happy Easter for a particularly specific reason. Gold because all of you who follow this blog are golden and special beyond words in my eyes and the feathers represent angelic and purity because I cherish each and every one of you.

Trapdoor by Vixen Phillips

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing cover? Do be fooled.
This is one book that's completely intense and it's kept that way throughout the book as you keep reading it. I won't delve into what it's about, because the excerpt provides that for you, but don't be fooled by it. It does NOT tell you the majority of the content or even what you're about to experience once you start at page one, but I sure as hell will tell you about the emotional clusterfawk I experienced while reading it.

The story is so exceptionally written that it even messed with my own frame of mind to the point that I've already read this book last month, but it's taken me till now to even put some words on it into my short review here. I had trouble getting past the events that held nothing positive to uplift the story from a severe landslide down into a hailstorm of trauma, and negativism. and I was in complete conflict on how to rate this one and in a personal breakdown I would admit to a 5 in the written story itself, but 2 for the complete type of content. It's in first person but switches into the point of view of the two main characters Pegasus and Raven. These two are self-destructing in the one life they have to live.

After each page completed it declined and descended into a very oppressive and depressing read. It'll get to the point that the story will induce depression on an unhealthy scale. You can't help but fall head over heals for both the characters, but your mind and your heart will hurt perhaps even bleed for them to the very end.

If you're looking for a HEA ending don't look for it in this story? You won't find it with this one.
If you're looking for a light read? Not in this one.
If you're looking for one where there's damaged characters, but life will get better for them? Not here either. It's too dark in mood and setting.

BUT If you're looking for a story that will blow your mind with totally complete intensity? You've got it here.

I'll end this review with saying that without a doubt I will read more from this author cause I'm amazed by how she writes and mucho curious after this story, what she would produce next.

BULLY

This is something I support 100% I'm not sure what's on everyone's agenda for this weekend, but I sure as heck know what's on mine.

Coming out this Friday, here, is a documentary in the theaters called Bully. I've rounded up a posse of teens and hauling their arse to see the flick with me. Even IF I have to pay for their film myself you can bet I'm not taking NO for an answer. But their ARE interested in seeing it and I got no fuss or lip about it. I think it should be seen by kids and adults alike.

Awhile back I did a post on Mitchel if you recall. An 11 year old sweet boy that committed suicide because of just this: bullying. Update is that this boy that got charged? It went to court, but the outrage is that just because Mitchel was not ALIVE to testify against this kid, well... the kid was left off scott free with just a warning. BULLSHIT? Totally agree.

Below I'm putting a vid that's the the official trailer to this movie. I encourage you if your not ignorant to this bullying epidemic to go see the movie yourself. And from what I heard on the reviews in our local news... bring loads of the Kleenex.

March 2012

Has anyone ever regretted a choice or choices in their life? I do regret some of the choices that I have made. Today my wolf and I had another run in with that psycotic ass ex of his. Those of you who know me know that I am tender hearted. Honestly right now as much as I do love my wolf it's in cases like this that I wish I never gotten pregnant. I just don't understand how one person can hurt someone who has done nothing to them? Guess there is a lot in this world that I don't understand and all. To top it all off I still have to endure the plain stupidity of others which just makes me want to jack slap the wholy hell out of them *snickers* But truthfully if I could I would allow that psycotic bitch just pound me and then slap her with attempted murder charges of an unborn child.
Speaking of the baby, got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and it was strong. In a few days we go to see a genetist for more tests and to see if there are any issues with the baby. I might also be able to get some answers to a heart condition that my youngest daughter has. On the up side of all of this is that we got a chihauhau who is kooky and loco at times *smiles*.
I has always known that I wasn't a good parent but I did do the best that I could and what I thought was right for the girls. BUT I surely don't need some psycotic, jealous ass, ugly bitch telling me what I already know. By the way that bitch is now behind bars for driving on suspend that will be just a slap on the wrist. What is it going to take to truly put this bitch away? My death, the death of my child or both?
